We supplement our programs with stories, songs, finger plays, felt board displays and puppet shows. ![]() Our goal is to provide children with an enjoyable library experience based upon books. Both of these programs are regularly held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:00 am and 11:00 am respectively. Watauga Public Library offers two types of preschool programming: Toddler Time for children ages 18 to 36 months and Story time for children ages 3 to 6. ![]() When is Story time? Do you have any programs for toddlers? Yes, the Library has a self service kiosk or a library checkout staff will fax to any domestic fax numbers for patrons. Requests are placed at the Checkout Desk, Reference Desk, and Youth Desk, or may be placed online. Non-resident reciprocals are limited to Watauga Library materials only. Yes, residents of Watauga may request any title that are listed in the shared computer catalog (Benbrook, Burleson, Forest Hill, Haltom City, Haslet, Keller, Richland Hills, and Watauga). Materials may also be renewed by phone at 817.514.5864 during library hours or through your on-line library account. We offer an auto-renewal service for any items that do not have requests or if your account has no fees of $5.00 or more. Can I renew my books?Įach item may be renewed two (2) times. You will need a Watauga Library card to access these services. eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and eComics/eGraphic Novels are available through OverDrive via North Texas Libraries-On-the-Go and are easy to access via the Libby app. Does the Library have eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines? On first use of a card, three items may be checked out. There are no limits on books except 3 per subject. We must have a parent's signature for all children under 18, so it is up to the parents to decide at what age their child may get a card. How old does my child have to be to get a library card? All other non-residents may obtain a card for an annual fee. Library cards issued from the MetroShare libraries in Benbrook, Burleson, Forest Hill, Haltom City, Haslet, Keller, and Richland Hills to their residents may be used at the Watauga Public Library. ![]() Cards will be issued to the residents of these cities at no charge, and residents of Watauga may receive a card from these libraries at no charge. Watauga Public Library has reciprocal agreements with North Richland Hills, Bedford, Hurst, and Saginaw. Proof of residence is needed when registering.
